THE BOATS

The Fleet

Four boats purpose-matched to the water we fish. Whether it's the tidal waters of Georgia Strait, a remote canyon, a large flood plain river or a small technical creek we have the right tools for the job.

SALTWATER

17’ Boston Whaler Montauk

A restored 1989 Whaler with real history — this boat spent its early years as a guide vessel at the legendary Painters Lodge right here in Campbell River. We’ve outfitted it specifically for fly fishing, with an extended bow deck giving anglers maximum standing room and casting space. Stable, capable, and built for these waters.

RIVER WORKHORSE

12’ NRS Expedition Raft

A comfortable, nimble whitewater raft with room for two anglers at each end, both equipped with lean bars. As at home on anchor fishing for trout and salmon as it is navigating a boulder garden. This is the workhorse of our freshwater operation.

REMOTE ACCESS

Solar 470 Strela — Jet Boat

Powered by a 40/30hp Yamaha, this nimble jet boat is our key to unlocking remote water. We use it for stillwater fishing, accessing rivers that aren’t reachable any other way, and running larger rivers when they’re running high. An incredibly effective way to cover a lot of different pools in a single day.

TECHNICAL ACCESS

9’ Hyside Mini-Me

The newest addition to the fleet. An impressively stable little boat — perfect for a guide and one angler with a cushy seat and lean bar, or two anglers on a bench seat looking to access tighter water. Our go-to for smaller creeks, low water conditions, rivers with obstructions to portage around, and launches and take-outs that are rustic, to say the least.
